Located beside Wulihu Lake in Yingshang County, Youjia Garden (the family of You’s garden) was first built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of more than 80 mu. Surrounded by water on all sides and divided by three streams into four parts, the garden is known for its “exotic flowers, rare herbs, vigorous pines and strange stones”. Visitors can appreciate waters flowing under bridges, rockeries, long corridors, pavilions, villa terraces, exotic flowers, rare herbs, vigorous pines, strange stones and evergreen cypresses. Strolling under the leafy shade of trees, visitors can take winding paths towards seclusion. Its overall design is ingenious. The scenes change as one moves a step. It’s typical style of classic gardens of Suzhou, known as the “Yu Garden in Northern Anhui”. It is a collection of “natural botanical specimens” and also a natural botanical garden in the Central Plains. Youjia Garden is a valuable heritage of Yingshang traditional culture and provincial cultural relics protection unit. In 2012, Youjia Garden - Wulihu Wetland Park was evaluated as a national AAAA level tourist area.
