Balihe Scenic Area is located in Balihe Town, Yingshang County, Anhui Province, close to Yinghe River in the east and Huaishui River in the west. It won “Global 500 Roll of Honour for Environmental Achievement” by the United Nations for its good natural environment. Recognized as the national “agro-tourism demonstration site”, the scenic spot is listed as a provincial nature reserve in Anhui Province, national 5A tourist attraction, national water conservancy scenic area and 2016 Beautiful China Eco-tourism Resort.
It covers a total area of 15.8 square kilometers, divided into four sections: the Chirping Bird Forest, West District, East District, and Twelve-Flower Island. The vast expanse of blue waters, breathtaking scenery and Chinese architecture of antique beauty are intoxicating. At the core of this park lies an exquisite blend of Chinese and Western buildings, which also adds charm to architectural and garden culture. Visitors can walk on the trestle and enjoy blue waves under their feet, or take a boat to appreciate flowers on the Twelve-Flower Island in all four seasons.
